The All-Stars use Shakespeare’s Theatre to inspire, entertain, and educate diverse audiences through live performances  and workshops.   Our professional actors and teaching artists present professional theatrical productions that enliven Shakespeare’s plays for veteran theatre-goers and new audiences alike.  We strive to present Shakespeare in a fresh, accessible way by suiting “the action to the word, the word to the action.”

In addition to fulfilling the Illinois Board of Education Goals for English Language Arts and Fine Arts, the Common Core Standards, and the College Readiness Standards, our programming strives to:

•    Build confidence in reading, public speaking, and self-expression.
•    Encourage cooperation, collaboration, creative problem-solving, and teamwork.
•    Make literature accessible and fun!

For Chicago Public Schools, our organization has been selected as highly qualified in the areas of Artist Residencies and Performances. Vetted by a team of evaluators at CPS Central Office, we are now included in Board Report 13-250080, giving clearance to pre-negotiated in-school arts education services without requiring further approval beyond a task-order. Thank you so much for being a part of our summer program at Hedges Elementary. The students walked away with more confidence and belief in themselves and that is priceless. Your time and generosity have affected my students for a life-time and for that we are truly grateful . . . You have truly enriched their summer and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
